Tierney Storer's BuzzFest event is The Indie Author Hive's flagship monthly Stuff Your Kindle / Book Blast event, running every month across two days. Created by the Hive founder Tierney Storer, a bestselling romance author.

She created it because the events she loved only ran a few times a year— and the monthly ones she found either focused on niche themes that didn't work for her, or had little to no quality control, and allowed AI in without care.

She wanted something simpler, faster, and actually curated and human designed. So she built it.

Every book is reviewed before acceptance. The Hive team actively screen for AI-generated content and make sure every submission meets a minimum standard for presentation and professionalism.

Buzzfest is open to almost all genres but is mostly romance related, with a majority romance selection month after month.

There are a few types of books we do not allow into our events. The full list can be found in our T&Cs.

Once the event is live, hover over the Buzzfest Event tab at the top of the page on a computer, or found via the three lines top right of the page on mobile. A dropdown menu will appear over the Buzzfest Event tab with the books page listed there. Just click it and explore.

When you find a book you like, the price, tropes, relevant information and spice level are listed right below it. Click the title or cover to find out more and grab your copy.

The event pages usually go live a few days to a week before the event starts, so you can browse early and build your TBR list before the deals go live.

We're an all-genre event, so there's something for everyone. You'll find:

Romance and Romantasy are our biggest categories though.

Every month is different. We do our best to rotate books where possible, and bring a fresh selection each event. Make sure you check back every month to see if you can find something you love, and not miss out.

The event runs on UK time (BST) for admin.

Books will be free or discounted for the full two days. However, for ease with timezones, we do not shut the event down until the day after the event. Just to be sure those last minute sales are found. However we do encourage you to browse as early as possible.

We use a basic, industry standard level system that authors self-select for their listing. We may use sightly different terms, but the level is still the same.

✨ Level 1 – No Sexual Content

No sexual content on or off the page.

✨ Level 2 – Fade to Black

Sex happens but isn’t described; the scene cuts/fades before intimacy.

✨ Level 3 – Half-Open Door

Sex is shown but lightly described, softer language, less detail, no heavy focus.

✨ Level 4 – Open Door

Sex is fully described in explicit detail, but it’s not the core plot.

✨ Level 5 – No Door at All

The story is spice-driven with minimal plot. E.g. Erotica.

We don't curate for diversity specifically — we take all books that are submitted and pass our T&Cs.

We also don't ask authors to disclose personal information about themselves, and they only disclose anything about their book if they choose to, for example by tagging a trope or keyword.

That means some months you'll see a bigger pool of diverse reads, and some months less, depending purely on who applies and what they enter.

Worth checking back monthly if you're after a specific kind of read. But we always love having reads from a diverse group of authors, and are more than happy to have anyone human join our events.
