While Amazon dominates the market, it’s far from the only place indie authors can sell books. Platforms like Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play Books, and Barnes & Noble Press allow authors to reach readers worldwide.
Selling books outside Amazon—often called “wide publishing”—can help diversify income and reduce reliance on a single platform. It also opens doors to international markets and direct reader relationships.
